As a result of rider demand, CTC Wantage is extending its programme of easy-paced family-oriented rides into the Winter months. There will be a regular easy ride of about 20 miles, with a tea stop, on the third saturday of each month starting at 1pm from Old Mill Hall (OMH) car park in Grove. The next of these will be on Saturday 20 October. However, before that there is an Easy Ride this Sunday afternoon starting at 2pm from OMH, when we will be going to Uffington for tea and cakes in St. Mary’s church. (This is the last Sunday of the year for Uffington teas.)
These rides are aimed at new, young, returning or occasional cyclists and are a highly sociable introduction to group cycling. You don’t need to be lycra-clad or have the latest carbon-fibre bike! Just a roadworthy bike and attire you’re comfortable cycling in. Children are welcome – under-13s need to be accompanied, 13+ need parental consent.
For more details of these and other club activities, please visit ww.ctcwantage.org.uk or phone Steve on 01235 764257 (evenings).
