After a break of nearly a year, I cycled in from Grove today. Having missed all the woes of “puncture alley”, I just got to use the new path as it was intended. On a lovely sunny morning, it is the very Platonic ideal of a rural cycle path – so thank you very much indeed to those who made it happen!
Blimey, if we do have the one immutable ideal form of a rural cycle path here in Oxfordshire that gives the pattern for all such paths..well, I need to try it out!
I’m sorry to say that the last three flats I’ve had (over the past two months) have all been from ‘puncture alley’. My tyres are still finding tiny pieces of flint, even though I had no more than my fair share when the path was new. Anyone else still finding this?
